This was the first time that Kidney Research UK in Scotland had organised an event on this magnitude for children who are affected by kidney related problems.

The whole organisation of it all was undertaken by KRUK community fundraismanager for Scotland, Liz McGuinness. Along with her Regional Manager Karen Whyman spent hours of their own tiime co-ordinating all the information and getting many on board to sponsor the event. Which she did and what a success it was.

The well known face of Carol Smiley opened the event and then handed the proceedings over to Mr John Brown CEO of Lifeskills to compare the rest of the day.

The mums were treated to a master performace by Kevin Rogers as he portrayed his tribute act to Michael Buble and from the face of the women in the audiance they honestly thought that it was the real Michael Buble on stage.

The Glasgow Rocks cheerleeders had some fresh recruits as they went through their routine with the kids joining in.

Then beetlemanie took over as the top tribute band in Scotland "The Them Beatles" played through a set of Beetle Classics.

we were honoured to have the famous Broxy Bear from rangers FC, Hoopy the Huddle Hound from Celtic FC, and by no means least The paisley Panda from St Mirren, who posed with the kids to have their photograph taken.

We though the kids had a great time as they also went around the stalls of the Fun at The Fair and left the Thistle Hotel at the end of the day on a complete high.

Well done to all.
