What an event this is, 50.000 runners took part and around 450 ran for kidney Research UK. The weather was exstreamly kind and seemed ideal for the runners. The great North Run is the biggest half marathon in the world, and was graced by the worlds top athletes, namely Paula Radcliffe who was making her comeback after nearly two years. But every one of the participants gave their all to finish the race and raise a vast amount for charity. Well done to all those who ran for Kidney Research UK, you deserve our heartfelt gratitude.
Helen, is a mother who ran with her daughters Sam and Kate, and on their backs they carried a message which i think summed up the meaning of why they were running for Kidney Research.
One Cause we champion together
Two Daughters and a mum
Three Minds determined to finish
For our families and everyone
Five kidneys we share between us
Six feet pace this GLORIOUS RUN
To Helen, Sam and Kate, thank you
